Part 3
Sometimes in order to tell a story you will need more than one photo on a page. First you lay all the photos out on your card stock. After you get them where you want them you may find that they all wont fit on the card stock, so you will have to crop (cut) them down to size so they will fit.Try to cut off only things like trees or background that doesn't pertain to your story. Then re-position them on the card stock again.Once you have them all in place it is time to paste them in place.
Once they are are pasted down where you want them you can now begin to add a title like "Our summer" or "Vacation" or what ever you wish title to be. This can be placed at the top, bottom or down the side its your choose.
You will need to add a journal tag next. This is just a tag that tells a little something about the pictures. It can be a store bought one or you can make it out of just about anything as long as you can write on it.Colored pieces of construction paper will work.
An idea for adding texture is to according fold a paper and stitch across the top to make it look like a ribbon then glue it in place where you want it.

When using adhesives to adhere photos please make sure it says acid free before buying. If it doesn't don't use it for photos.DO NOT use Elmer's glue or any other kind of glue unless it is acid free and made especially for photos as this will ruin your pictures. If these are one of a kind pictures you certainly don't want them ruined.
A nice sharp pair of scissors for cutting straight cuts is a must. You can buy scissors that make fancy cuts for borders, but for now just a plain pair will do.
Another basic need is a nice metal straight edge ruler. The metal seems to make a cleaner sharper line than the wood or plastic ones. But if you have wood or plastic ones by all means use it. It is just a matter of choose here too.
Additional supplies that are nice to have are eyelets, embellishment's,mini brads, tool kits, chalks, rubber stamps, ribbons, store bought decorations like a bride and groom etc. These are not included as basics these are for the advanced scrape booker.

Scrapebooking Part 1 for Beginners
What do I do? Where do I start? When first starting a scrape book there are lots of questions. When starting a page there really is no right or wrong way to do it. You are limited only by your imagination. Your pages are a reflection of you and can be done any way you choose to design it. It is your work so be proud of it.
There are some basic tools you will have to have to start with. You can add on stuff later but for right now just the basics will do. You will need a sharp pair of scissors, card stock in different colors, adhesives, (make sure it is acid free), ruler, your photos, an album, page protectors, and some letters. These are just the basics to start with.
Later on when money allows you can add such things as fancy letters, decorations such as fancy borders, mini brads, embellishments, buttons, ribbons or anything else you like. You should also have some journal tags to begin with. These are for writing on to tell a little bit about your photo.
For the album I like to use a 8.5"x11". You can however if you prefer use the 11"x 12" album this is your choose. You will need the page protectors to protect your completed pages. Just slip the completed page inside of the plastic sleeve and place it on the rings in the album.
Card stock is a heavy weight paper that gives a sturdy background for placement of your photos. You can use this alone or place photos on colored paper and mount this then on the card stock.
